“Thank you for this amazing session!I had a great time being educated about the Taino culture. I loved the history background as well as learning a few steps of the dance! It was amazing!Thank you for letting me be part of it.”
“THE DANCE PERFORMANCE:This was a lovely, modern Taino dance ritual, summoning the earthly forces and ancestral spirits, from the four geographical directions. Simplicity and wholeness was embodied by the lead dancer opening fully, with breath, to another one, caressing each Taino descendant, with all coming together to the sustaining rhythms of drums.THE DRUMMING WORKSHOP:The drumming circle was a revelation to me - never having participated in one before — of how the two sides of my body, left and right arms — operate independently of each other, and the challenge of each communicating with the other... Drumming may be in my future!”
“That was so much fun today! The drum circle is very mesmerizing - a nice way to meditate. And a nice change of pace! Really enjoyed the whole presentation.”
